Party Bars – a Night Out in Amsterdam
Most of the Party Bars in Amsterdam are located near Leidseplein or Rembrandtplein. Party bars are popular with students, (local) youngsters and tourists for a night out in Amsterdam. Main reason is that most venues are free of entrance. If you are into a party, go to one of these popular party bars in Amsterdam or join one of the pub-crawls! But if you want to dance the night away you might be better off in one of the Amsterdam Dance Clubs and find out why Amsterdam is famous for its nightlife.
Cooldown Café Leidseplein
This is the smallest of the two Cooldown Cafés in Amsterdam, also known as “Kleine Cooldown” (small Cooldown). The DJ is playing his music tracks for only 1.5 minute in different styles: house, Dutch, cheesy, hit parade and sing-a-long numbers. It is always crowded and party guaranteed!

Cooldown Café Rembrandtplein
Cooldown Café Rembrandtplein is a popular and large so called Party Bar on the bustling Rembrandtplein. There are several bar areas and a dance floor. The DJs play top 40 songs and pop favorites.

Jantjes Verjaardag is a popular party bar at Rembrandtplein, having 5 different bars in 2 separate areas. On Friday & Saturday you have to pay an entrance fee after midnight.

Dansen bij Jansen >> CLOSED
This is was Amsterdam’s most famous student nightclub. They offer cheap drinks and play different music styles from classic disco to house music. Valid student cards are required!

Bubbles
Party bar located near Leidseplein (another Bubbles Party Bar is located on Rembrandtplein next to the Cooldown Café). The Bubbles is very crowded on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Playa Nasty
It’s all in the name… A ‘nasty’ party bar in Amsterdam at the Thorbeckeplein, next to Rembrandtplein. Playing all kinds of music and popular by many Dutch people from outside of Amsterdam. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday very busy.

Café Bolle Jan
This Café is a typical Dutch and small party bar near the Rembrandtplein. It is quite famous by Dutch people for a night out in Amsterdam. If you are into a “Dutch Night”, this is the place to be: only Dutch music and most of the nights live artist performing!

Nice list. What about Cafe La Bastille? I think I remember to have had a great party here once or twice. Lots a crazy dutch folks and dutch music till sun down! Just mentioning, i’ll check out the above cafes next time as well! 🙂
