Yes! The highest class of competition for open wheel racing cars, the Formula One World Championship, is coming to Holland!
This year, back on track! The Dutch Grand Prix 2020 Zandvoort.
The Dutch Grand Prix was held at Circuit Zandvoort from 1948 to 1985 off and on and now scheduled at the 1st of May 2020 onwards!
Zandvoort is a municipality in the province of North Holland. It is one of the major beach resorts of the Netherlands. It has sandy beaches bordered by coastal dunes. The race track is situated right next to the beach, in the dunes. Half an hour west from Amsterdam.
During its absence from the Grand Prix calendar, it has been modified extensively. The circuit gained popularity because of its fast sweeping corners. The most famous corner in the circuit is the hairpin at the start/finish, called the ‘Tarzan Corner’. The circuit has been altered several times and nowadays has a length of 4252 kilometres (2642 miles).
Ever since Max Verstappen is a successful Dutch driver with his team Red Bull Racing, it became even more popular in the Netherlands.
The weekend from the 1st until the 3rd of May 2020 will be super crowded and filled with Dutch Orange supporters. It is going to be a ultimate race festival with spectacular races, a lot of famous DJ’s and music artists on stage.
And there is even more excitement. You can take a photo on the F1 Pit Wall & Photo with your favourite driver, test your race skills at the F1 Esports Competition, measure your response time with the best F1 drivers of the world or enter the Pit stop Challenge!
